Embrace Technology; Welcome Efficiency…

With cloud-based technology becoming a feature of everyday life, businesses are wise to implement effective, modern software and apps where possible. The right choices can simplify your workplace systems; improving efficiency and profitability (time is money)!

So, in this blog we’d like to share our top 2 software systems; the ones that we feel make the biggest difference to running our business.

1. XERO

What is it?

Cloud accounting software.

Features that we think are particularly useful:

  • Invoicing – Send online invoices via email.
  • Inventory – Track inventory, manage stock and easily add items into invoices and orders.
  • Dashboard – instantly see where things are up to from the customisable dashboard.
  • Bank connections – Link to your online banking so transactions automatically upload.
  • Bank reconciliation – Keep on top of money coming in and out in real time.
  • Expenses – Easily keep track of expense claims and receipts.
  • Bills – See what’s due quickly and simply and keep a paperless bookkeeping system.
  • Mobile app – Keep track of expenses or send invoices from the mobile app.
  • Quotes – Send professional online quotes.
  • Reporting – Lots of reports to keep track of your business’ finances.

 Why do we recommend it?

We started using Xero earlier this year and haven’t looked back! It’s intuitive to use, easy to learn and means we know exactly where our business finances stand every day. It also keeps our bookkeeping and administration streamlined and enables us to minimise paperwork.

 How much does it cost?

The standard package (suitable for most businesses) is £22 + vat per month.

 Why do we recommend it?

A good CRM system is essential for every business…and we think Salpo is the best around. We use it to manage our own business activities and we use it with/on behalf of our clients. It’s clean, modern and a pleasure to use.

How much does it cost?

Salpo starts at £15 + vat per user per month.
